Treatment
Orthodontics is concerned with the diagnosis, prevention and correction of dental malocclusions and jaw development anomalies. Orthodontic treatment is not just about aesthetics: well-aligned teeth promote proper chewing, better oral hygiene and reduce the risk of wear and joint problems.
In our studio we offer both traditional fixed appliances — metal or ceramic brackets — and latest-generation clear aligners, which allow you to correct your smile almost invisibly and with great daily comfort. Aligners can be removed during meals and for tooth cleaning, making treatment much more convenient.
We collaborate with specialized orthodontists for complex cases, ensuring the best solution for children, teenagers and adults.

In-Depth
Each treatment is personalized based on age, severity of malocclusion and patient preferences. Here's how the process unfolds in our studio.
The first appointment includes a complete clinical exam, intraoral and extraoral photos, digital scan of the arch (3D digital impression) and, if necessary, cephalometric X-rays. Based on this data, a personalized treatment plan is developed with visualization of the expected result.
Aligners are custom-made transparent resin trays created via 3D scanning. Each set is worn for approximately 10-14 days and gradually moves teeth toward the desired position. They must be worn at least 20-22 hours per day and can be removed for eating and oral hygiene, ensuring maximum daily comfort.
Traditional brackets remain the most effective solution for complex malocclusions and growing patients. We use metal or aesthetic ceramic brackets (nearly invisible), combined with latest-generation wires to reduce discomfort and treatment times. Check-up visits occur every 4-6 weeks.
The ideal time to start interceptive orthodontic treatment is between ages 6-10, when the jaw is still growing and more easily influenced. Early intervention can significantly reduce the duration and complexity of subsequent treatment in adolescence or adulthood.
Times vary from 6 months (simple cases with aligners) up to 24-30 months for complex malocclusions with fixed braces. After active treatment, it's essential to wear retainers (fixed or removable) to consolidate results and prevent relapse.
More and more adults pursue orthodontics, often thanks to the discretion of clear aligners. There's no age limit for treatment, as long as teeth and gums are healthy. Results are the same as those achievable at a younger age, and impact on quality of life is often significant.
Frequently asked
Clear aligners (e.g., Invisalign) are removable, nearly invisible and more comfortable for daily hygiene: ideal for adults and mild-to-moderate cases. Fixed braces with brackets remain in place for the entire treatment and allow correction of more complex malocclusions. Dr. Di Bari will evaluate with you the best solution based on your clinical situation.
You can start in childhood (ages 6-7) to intercept growth problems early. In teenagers we work on the permanent arch. In adults there's no age limit: more and more patients over 40 choose to align teeth for aesthetic and functional reasons.
It's normal to experience slight sensitivity in the first few days after braces activation or aligner changes. It's not sharp pain: in most cases a common painkiller helps for the first 24-48 hours. With clear aligners discomfort is generally less.
Duration varies based on case complexity: from 6-8 months for simple alignments with clear aligners, up to 18-24 months for complex malocclusions with fixed braces. During the consultation Dr. Di Bari will prepare a personalized treatment plan with estimated times.
Yes, in most cases it's possible. Existing crowns and bridges are evaluated during the diagnostic visit to plan treatment most effectively. Clear aligners are often the preferred solution in these cases.
Cost depends on the treatment type (aligners or fixed) and duration. Our studio always provides a detailed and transparent estimate after the first consultation visit, with payment plan options. Book your free evaluation.
